The Ronald McDonald House

In September of 2007, we met Jan Gunter, Communications Manager at the Ronald McDonald House Charities. Jan attended the Business Presentation Skills class and loved the program. The Ronald McDonald House is all about programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children. After speaking with Jan, iSpeak was moved by the Ronald McDonald mission and wanted to help: by making a financial contribution, as well as a donating professional development materials. Visit http://rmhc.org/who-we-are/mission-and-vision/ for more information.

“Many people give speeches and presentations, but rarely do people have this kind of thorough training for doing so. After attending the iSpeak Presentations Skills class, I was able to help coworkers who were preparing a speech simply by sharing the things I learned in workshop. Taking this class is a great way to get intensive training in public speaking. What a great way to improve your skills and increase your opportunity to succeed in this area.” - Jan Gunter, Communications Manager, Ronald McDonald House

Children At Heart Foundation

Children at Heart Foundation

In January of 2010, iSpeak connected with Amanda Keeter, Development Officer of Corporate Relations for the Children at Heart Foundation. Amanda and the executive staff had attended an iSpeak keynote presentation and inquired about using iSpeak’s professional development programs at their various ministries. iSpeak was pleased to deliver courses in Business Presentations, Coaching Others, and Leading Teams at no cost for 45 of the managers and leaders at this non-profit organization.

The Children at Heart Ministries provide specialized services and resources that care for children and families. iSpeak wanted to get involved and has since contributed both financially as well as through free training services. Visit www.childrenatheartministries.org for more information.

“The training was exceptional! Our staff found the interactive portion of the training extremely helpful. Unlike any number of other training experiences we’ve experienced in other venues, this one succinctly provides the theory and then reinforces learning by completion of exercises and coaching opportunities for practice. The information was communicated in an interesting and professional manner. Personal stories from true life experiences added interest and made application of the material even more interesting. I highly recommend iSpeak for helping an organization move from good to great.” - Don
Forrester, Vice President, Children at Heart Ministries

Newspapers in Education

In 2006, iSpeak partnered with The Newspapers in Education program through the Austin American Statesman newspaper. The program provides teachers with newspapers to use in the classroom to get their students excited about reading and excited about learning. Newspapers help teachers introduce students to life-long reading habits while encouraging more meaningful, hands-on learning. iSpeak sponsors schools in the Round Rock area. Arbor Day Foundation

In the fall of 2008 iSpeak associated with The Arbor Day Foundation. For each class that iSpeak delivers, a tree is planted to support this worthwhile cause and give back to the environment. In 2010, iSpeak planted 500 trees, replacing the trees that were used to produce the workbooks and training materials in the classroom. The Arbor Day Foundation was established in 1972 and has grown to become the largest nonprofit membership organization dedicated to planting trees, with over one million members, supporters, and valued partners.
